| This goldfinch nest was found under a building at a summer camp. The camp staff person who was staying in the building found the baby goldfinches on the ground and brought them to me in a box. The nest was constructed out of moss, shredded paper, tree bark, and sticks. |

| The baby birds needed to be placed back in the nest. They had probably fledged and that was why they were found on the ground. I carefully placed the two young birds back in their nest, thinking the parent bird would be nearby. |

| I snapped a photo of each of the young birds as I put them back in their nest. |

| This is the other young goldfinch. Both birds stayed in the nest for a while. When we checked later in the evening, both were gone. We hoped that they had left the nest to join the parent bird. We saw no sign of them nearby, so hope that they have gone on their way to growing into adult birds. |
